Do work that matters. Build a career that lasts. Be part of something bigger.
OHI has been one of Maine's most respected social service organizations since 1979, and the heart of everything we do is our people. If you are looking for meaningful work, a team that feels like family, and an organization that genuinely invests in your growth, you've found the right place.
We believe everything is possible. That's not just something we say to the people we support—it's the standard we hold ourselves to as an employer.
What You'll Do
OHI employees work directly alongside adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health challenges, and co-occurring disorders—helping them live independently, build skills, and participate fully in their communities. This is hands-on, relationship-centered work that changes lives. Including yours.
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or Rehabilitation Technician (RT), you'll serve as a role model and mentor, support individuals with daily living skills, administer medications when needed, and foster the positive relationships that make independence possible. You'll go to Special Olympics events, work alongside the people you support at Camp Capella and in the community, and show up every day knowing your work genuinely matters.
